Although I really like the idea of taking batting practice with the surf clams and a Louisville. My luck would be that one of my customers would hit me on the back swing. I shuck the clams throwing the shells over. As I shuck the clams I do it over a bucket so the the juice and the clam belly fall into the bucket. Some of the clams I cut into some pieces and once in a while throw a hand full over the side. The rest I leave hole for my baits.I am not trying to feed the fish but just trying to bring them to our baits. Also I'll pour some of the clam juice over too. I know guys that will use chum pots and have had success. I have tried it but to me it seems to draw in more of the junk fish. There is more than one way to skin a cat.
